Reading the Intelligent Investor and dozens and dozens of dinners at the Pierre Hotel with Bill Ruane.

Patience - even when you are right about a business, it can take a long time for others to recognize the value you uncovered.
Tell us about your family.
My parents were both professors that transitioned to international non-profits in their careers and taught me the importance of lifelong learning, humility and the need to always put yourself in others’ shoes. I met my wife, an attorney who taught me to always strive to be a better person, in college. We have two boys, one of whom has already decided he wants to be an ecologist!
