John Harris
John is an analyst on our Wishbone, Poplar and Sequoia teams. He is the Portfolio Manager of our Wishbone private partnerships, a co-portfolio manager of our Poplar private partnerships and a member of our Sequoia Strategy Investment Committee. John currently serves as the Managing Partner of Ruane Cunniff and is a member of Ruane Cunniff’s Management Committee.
John started his career as an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs. He then spent two years as a private equity analyst at KKR before joining Ruane Cunniff in 2003.
John graduated from Harvard University, Magna Cum Laude, with a BA in Social Studies.
What advice do you have for aspiring investors?
Be humble, use common sense and keep an open mind. Then get a little lucky, and don't be too proud to admit it.
