Sophie is an analyst on the Sequoia team.
Sophie began her career on the Tactical Opportunities team at Blackstone, where she conducted due diligence as part of a deal team for various private investments. She joined Ruane Cunniff in 2023.
Sophie graduated from Harvard University, Cum Laude, with a BA in Mathematics.
What’s the most exciting part of your job?
That moment when I realize that I understand a seemingly niche or convoluted business and how it fits into the broader economy. Every business can appear so specific / unique, but over time as you zoom out and put together all the puzzle pieces, you realize you've figured out a lot about how the world works!

a high school Calculus teacher. Math is a joy if you learn from someone who loves it!
