Yatin began his career at Goldman Sachs, where he invested in software and services equities for a long/short equity hedge fund. He joined Ruane Cunniff in 2019.
Yatin graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Summa Cum Laude, with a BA in Biology and a BS in Economics.
What advice do you have for aspiring investors?
Trying to be smarter than everyone else is hard; playing in an arena that they can't or won't play in is much easier (but still not easy). In investing, that means doing something unusual or off the run as opposed to the vast majority of other investors is typically necessary (though not sufficient) to earn excess returns.
